I still get a thrill when I see my work somewhere new. The Dulwich Trader have done such a great job with their window displays that even I saw my artwork from a new perspective
Every millimetre of my canvases is engraved in my memory so to view them in a new light is always a delightful shock. The window displays with my framed prints the main focus will be left up until 7th June.
Both weekends I was busy but clearly not busy enough to be distracted from purchasing a few beautiful items from The Dulwich Trader. However, I am totally convinced it is never too early to start Christmas shopping…..
Thank you to everybody who came to view my latest work and for all your positive comments. I had some really inspiring conversations from which I now have a notebook filled with ideas and sketches for new works. As I have said before, new ideas come from all sorts of unexpected sources.
Until next time,
It’s that time of year again and I’ll be exhibiting at the Dulwich Art Festival on both weekends (9-10 May & 16-17 May) in a gallery space at The Dulwich Trader (9-11 Croxted Road, SE21 8SZ). Both paintings and prints will be on display. It’ll be a great time as usual so look forward to seeing you there.
The freshly applied paint to new canvas is now dry and my new limited edition prints ready for their debut display this weekend.
I am really excited about the new Carousel horse and pigeon prints. I was initially skeptical if the printing techniques would capture the neon luminescence of the pigeons and the reflections in the gilding on the carousels but I have been happily proved wrong.
The carousel prints have been scaled down from the original paintings too so will not require a horse box to transport. More details to follow on my website soon but if you want a preview then come to 3 St. Albans Avenue, W4 this weekend. I will be there all 3 days.
Tropical Pigeon Pair (2014).
Mini Coopers (2011) A3 prints are available.
Junkyard (2014) A3 prints are available.
Zebra Diptych (2010) is available as 2 x separate A3 prints. I recommend that each zebra is framed separately.
All prints are hand signed and numbered by me and each print run is limited to 150. Frames can be ordered through me, contact me direct for more details. Please add £10 per print (P&P) if you wish me to deliver the prints direct to you, delivery time is 5-7 days.
My first limited edition giclée print is now available. Measuring 55 x 55cm (including mount but not framed) each print is hand finished, numbered (this edition will run to 150) and signed by me. I have also gilded by hand the hooves of each multi coloured zebra in gold leaf.
These prints are being sold at £145 each (+£10 P&P), please contact me directly through my website if you are interested.
Jane Newbery brings a refreshingly eclectic and humourous mix of home accessories, gifts and artworks to the Dulwich area.
Products on sale are mainly craft led and carefully sourced by the owner Jane Hole; much of the stock is made in England and some is made locally. While many items reflect Jane’s idiosyncratic contemporary design ideas, there is plenty to appeal to more conservative tastes as well as to a range of budgets.
The standard stock includes: cards, wrap, candles, bags, baskets, cushions, lamp-shades, rugs, bed-linen, kitchenware, china, glass and much more. There are also small items of furniture and of course art in the shop and the gallery downstairs which changes on a two monthly basis.
Additional lines will be carried on a seasonal basis. Deckchairs from Thornback and Peel and beanbags from Fatboy® are in stock are present.
We are also in talks for a solo show in 2015 in her gallery downstairs. More details to follow.
